I successfully cloned all partitions to the new drive using Macrium Reflect and, using Diskpart, I cleaned the old SSD thinking that the mobo would recognize the drive and boot like normal.

Enter cycles back to the blue screen instantly, F1 cycles back after starting, and F8 does the same thing as enter. In the UEFI Bios, it recognizes the win boot manager and I have set the boot loader to boot from the new drive to no avail. Startup repair fails and I have no system restores or recovery images.

I try reassigning partition letters to their correct letters e. I thought I could move my installs to the old drive and reinstall windows on my new SSD, but there seems to be no way of moving partitions between disks. Any help or feedback would be highly appreciated. I did not want to proceed before the point of no return although cleaning the original SSD without a recovery image might have been the point of no return side note: evey application that I have control of install location i install on my larger 2TB HDD, so my personal files documents directory, photos directory, videos directory and other installs program files are on my HDD, just things that I couldn’t change install location that defaulted to the C drive and system files are in the cloned partitions on the primary partion and system partions.

I’m Greg, an Independent Advisor. You said you cloned successfully so did it ever start up when you tested it without the source drive attached? Thi will configure a Dual Boot Menu that may start the old install if it is not too corrupted.

If so you can delete the rescue install and Extend C back over it and it’s fixed. If not gradually move into the new install, when ready I’ll help you remove the old one and recover it’s disk space into the new C.
